"Dying Roots" is a 24x30 inch original landscape oil painting on a 1-inch gallery wrap canvas. When I hike, my eye is drawn to beauty in nature. I love to recreate as best I can, that beauty on canvas. I saw this particular scene in Tennessee on a hike. I loved how the exposed roots clung to the rock. I really had fun painting the contrasting colors and texture. This is one of my all-time favorites.
